Finding Your Artistic Passion

There is an artist hidden in all of us.  Sometimes it peeks out when we least expect it.  Some of us beat it back into hiding by insisting we are not artistic.

For some of us, one day we try something and enjoy it so thoroughly that it becomes a passion, and we spend every free moment trying new ways of creating with our found medium.

So it was for me with Paverpol.  I went to a trade show and walked by a crowded little booth filled with elegant looking wire women draped with beautiful folds and frills.  Imagine my surprise when the vendor told me they were made with old T-shirts!  I immediately signed up for a workshop and this is my very first creation.  From that workshop on, I was hooked.

Paverpol is a product imported from Holland. It was developed by artists to make very large pieces like parade floats.  It is a non-toxic, environmentally friendly, water-based liquid medium that sticks to anything natural.  When it dries, it becomes rock hard and creations can be left outside in all types of weather.

In this blog I will be posting ideas, information about Paverpol, student creations and workshop dates.  Join me in this world of endless possibilities.  You'll be hooked in no time.
